I BOUGHT A PUPPY ON 3//6/09 AND IT WAS SICK THAT DAY. TOOK IT TO THE VET NUMEROUS TIMES BEFORE HE WAS DIAGNOSED WITH PARVO. WHICH IS A DEADLY DISEASE.THE PUPPY NOW HAS A ONE PERCENT SURVIVAL RATE.AND THE WORST PART IS INSTEAD OF REFUNDING MY MONEY THEY OFFERED ME A NEW PUPPY! WHY WOULD I WANT ANOTHER PUPPY FROM THERE.IT HASN'T EVEN BEEN A WEEK SINCE I'VE HAD HIM AND HE'S BEEN IN THE HOSPITAL FOR THREE DAYS TRYING TO SAVE HIM.WHEN ASKED WHAT IF I GOT A NEW PUPPY AND THAT ONE DIED THEY PROCEEDED TO SAY THEY WOULD KEEP GIVING ME A NEW PUPPY UNTIL ONE LIVES.WORST STORE EVER AND SHOULD BE SHUT DOWN!!!

Yes...the employees are nice and helpful. They're supposed to be, but what most don't know if that are treated very badly by upper management. They are forced to be pushy, trying to make that sale. Go in when corporate is there, you'll see how slimy and pushy they are ( I have...got really creeped out). Trying to convince you buy something, buy more. And if they (the employees) don't make that sale their jobs are threatened. It's truly sad.

And what's even worse is they've fired great people. I went in all the time to be helped by certain employees and then come to find out they were fired, for no reason apparently (least that's what I was told the last time I went in. They had no idea.). I couldn't imagine what such a nice and helpful person could've got fired for. Yet they keep someone who's talked back to a customer after hours and called her a vulgar name. How shocked I was to hear this customer telling her story to a few of the employees. And that person is still there. They obviously don't care.

Like I believe everyone will get theirs one day. You can't get away with doing bad things and treating people badly.

The woman who works the front of the store is very nice and friendly and tried to make the best of a bad situation. It is possible that my dog and I just got very unlucky and had the misfortune to get stuck with the new guy at the place. He shaved my dog completely. She is 17 weeks old and was fully groomed at 12 weeks. There is no way that she needed to be shaved. The groomer was just lazy. And then when I was visibly upset and trying to leave the place with my puppy, (no sense in freaking out since I can't glue the hair back on her, I'll just wait for it to grow out) he basically taunted me. He laughingly shouted after me to brush my dog. I was at the vet last week and she told me my puppy was doing great and was very well cared for. This guy is just a lazy groomer, (if you can call him that at all) who didn't feel like doing his job, so he shaved my puppy and then acted like an ass. I have had 3 dogs growing up and an aunt who used to own a grooming business so I know the difference between a dog who is matted and needs to be shaved, and a tiny 17 week old puppy who is brushed every day and just needs a professional grooming. I will Never come here again and I will be telling everyone at my puppy play group and kindergarten, and dog walk park, and every dog owner I know in my building, to stay clear of this place. Oh, and they charged me $75.00 dollars and it was NOT an even shave job. A child could have done it. Terrible experience, and made soooo much worse by the snippy, hipster rotten attitude of a lazy groomer with no respect for his profession. I would have been a loyal customer for the life of my dog. But now I will do everything I can to spread the word about my terrible experience and discourage everyone I can from going here. It is a shame too b/c I understand that there is a woman who usually does the grooming and that she is great. But it's true what they say, a chain is only as strong as the weakest link and this place has a very weak link in that male "groomer." Awful, awful experience.

I love this Petco! The manager, Amber, has helped us solve our dog Sammie's skin problems. He had horrible itchy red spots on his back and Amber suggested this fish & potatoe formula. It's AMAZING. His coat is shiny and he's not uncomfortable all the time! They also have a really cool dog trainer. We are starting this jumper in a class next month!

*****  great place to buy fish

It is a great place to buy fish. The owners are very knowledgeable when it comes to fish and fish supplies. There has been times where I though I needed a certain item for my tank. The guy could have sold it to me just for the money, but was nice enough to inform me that it was not needed. Most pet stores (not fish stores) work off of commission and will do what ever they can to sell you products you dont need. Or they will give you wrong information on fish. That is one reason why I love Broadway. They do not do those things. The store has a good selection of different types of fish. It is one of the best (fish only) fish stores in Fort Wayne in my opinion.
*****  Don't buy a dog here!!!

I bought a dog her after being assured that they do not get dogs from puppy mills...only small breeders, etc. I fell for it hook, line and sinker. The problem is, I had my puppy home for 2 days before she got sick and since has been in the hospital not eating, getting IV antibiotics and fluids for 5 days since. When I called them, they were rude and totally unhelpful and denied that they dog could have gotten sick there. Do not get dogs here!!!
